Your window to free energy

All-in-one energy solution

Imagine if your blinds actually worked for you-- instead of just hanging there. SolarGaps are the first solar smart blinds to actually track the sun

SolarGaps are smart blinds that automatically track the sun and generate electricity from its energy. Simply plug-in SolarGaps and solar energy starts to power all devices in your home. It can even store power in your home battery storage solution. With SolarGaps, you have your own electricity. With our smartphone app, you can monitor and control SolarGaps from anywhere in the world.

"We believe that green energy should be available for every body." - Yevgen Erik, Founder of SolarGaps

Where can I use SolarGaps?

Save energy by automatically opening or closing SolarGap blinds. Generate electricity to save on power bills. Remotely monitor and control SolarGaps via our app.

In the office

Reduce your office's operational costs by installing SolarGaps on windows to regulate temperature instead of blasting AC. For offices with tinted windows, we recommend external blinds with solar panels.

At home

SolarGaps is the perfect solution for homes and apartments that don’t allow roof-mounted solar panels. Our smart blinds can be mounted inside or outside windows to generate electricity to bring down your electricity bill.

Key features

3-in-1 solution

SolarGaps provide three functions simultaneously:

1) They provide shade for your home or office.

2) They can be used to protect your window during storms.

3) They provide you with solar energy to power your appliances.

Tech specs

SolarGaps are efficient enough to generate up to 100 Watt for every square meter when mounted outside, and up to 50 Watt per square meter when mounted inside.

For example, a three-room apartment with four windows of 2 sq.m. (about 20 sq. ft.) each facing south may be able to produce on average 7 kWh a day / 210 kWh a month assuming average daylight of 8.5 hours a day. In an office or retail space you can generate up to 10 times more

Excess electricity can be stored and even sent back through the grid, allowing you to sell energy back to your power company. You’ll be able to run appliances directly without the need for additional batteries.
